Fran Drescher, the star of The Nanny, played the iconic role of Fran Fine, a fashionable and quick-witted nanny who charmed her way into the Sheffield family’s lives. After The Nanny ended, Drescher continued to achieve success in the entertainment industry, starring in sitcoms such as Living with Fran and Happily Divorced. She also lent her voice to the Hotel Transylvania film series and made appearances in various television shows. Beyond acting, Drescher has been a vocal advocate for labor rights and was elected president of the SAG-AFTRA trade union in 2021.

Charles Shaughnessy, who portrayed the sophisticated British widower Maxwell Sheffield, Fran’s employer and eventual husband, also maintained a prominent career after The Nanny. Renée Taylor, who played Sylvia Fine, Fran’s outspoken and food-loving mother, had a successful career before and after The Nanny. She received an Academy Award nomination for co-writing the 1970 film Lovers and Other Strangers. Taylor continued to act in television shows like How I Met Your Mother and Bob’s Burgers.

Ann Morgan Guilbert, who portrayed Yetta Rosenberg, Fran’s eccentric grandmother, had a long and distinguished career in television. She was known for her role on The Dick Van Dyke Show and continued to act in shows like Seinfeld and Life in Pieces. Guilbert sadly passed away in 2016.
