Enhance Your TV Audio with a Bose Television Sound System

by

The Bose TV Speaker is a significant upgrade from the popular Solo 5 system, offering a louder, clearer audio experience with improved dialogue clarity and overall acoustic performance. It seamlessly integrates with modern A/V equipment and your existing TV remote thanks to HDMI-CEC connectivity. Its sleek, low-profile design ensures it won’t obstruct the bottom edge of your television.

Understanding the Bose TV Speaker’s Superior Dialogue Clarity

Building on the Solo 5’s Dialogue mode, the Bose TV Speaker takes clarity to the next level for both TV shows and podcasts. This enhanced Dialogue mode isolates vocals from other audio elements, amplifying them for crisper speech and pronunciation. A convenient “persistent” setting eliminates the need to re-enable Dialogue mode every time you power on the speaker.

Simple Installation and Compatibility of the Bose Television Sound System

Wall-mounting is easy with the Bose Soundbar Wall Bracket (sold separately), compatible with the Bose Soundbar 500 and 700. The Bose TV Speaker connects to virtually any TV with an optical audio output (optical cable included) or HDMI-ARC connectivity (HDMI cord sold separately). For HDMI-CEC enabled TVs, connecting via HDMI allows continued use of your current TV remote.

Wireless Connectivity Options for Your Bose Sound System

Enjoy wireless music and podcast streaming from Bluetooth-enabled devices. Bose SimpleSync technology enables synchronized audio playback with compatible Bose smart speakers and soundbars, controllable through the Bose Music app. Compatible devices include the Bose Home Speaker 500, Home Speaker 300, Bose Portable Home Speaker, and various Bose Smart Soundbars (900, 700, 600, 500, 300). However, the Bose TV Speaker does not support synchronized audio with headphones. For private listening, utilize your TV’s headphone output.

Remote Control Options for Seamless Integration

With an HDMI-CEC enabled TV and HDMI connection, your current remote controls both the TV and Bose TV Speaker, including power and volume. When connected via the included optical cable, use the provided remote, program a universal remote (refer to its instructions for Bose IR codes), or teach the soundbar volume and mute commands from your existing remote (see “Using another remote to control your Bose system” in Bose Support). Initial Bluetooth pairing requires the included remote; subsequent connections can be made via your device’s Bluetooth settings by “force connecting” to the Bose TV Speaker.

Seamless Integration with Roku TV for Enhanced Control

Roku TV Ready™ certified, the Bose TV Speaker seamlessly integrates with Roku TVs via the HDMI ARC port, offering smooth setup, easy access to sound settings within the Roku TV™ on-screen menu, and compatibility with the Roku TV™ remote. A software update may be required for Roku TV Ready™ functionality, which is not available in all regions (visit go.roku.com/rokutvready for details).

Bass Adjustment and Expansion for Customized Sound

The included remote provides bass level adjustment. Expand your system with the optional wired Bose Bass Module 500 or 700, using the Bose Bass Module Connection Cable or a standard 3.5 mm cable (sold separately). The Bose TV Speaker does not support surround speakers or a subwoofer output.

Connecting Your Devices to the Bose Television Sound System

Connect devices with HDMI-ARC, optical, or analog audio output to the Bose TV Speaker. For optimal audio/video synchronization, connect the speaker directly to your TV’s output.
