LED Lights for Television: Enhance Your Viewing Experience
Recently, we unveiled our new family room built-ins, but we didn’t delve into the details of our TV setup. Today, we’re shining a light on how we incorporated Led Lights For Television, creating a more immersive and enjoyable viewing experience.
Mounting the TV and Concealing the Cables
After installing the built-ins, we mounted our TV using a heavy-duty swivel mount (similar to this one) attached directly to the wall studs. This allows us to adjust the TV’s position for optimal viewing from any angle, even the kitchen!
To manage the inevitable tangle of cords, we used a plastic cord cover (find one here) to conceal the wires, securing it with command strips. All electronics, except the cable box, are hidden within the cabinets. Black zip ties keep the cords organized and compact within the cover.
The cords run down the back of the wall and into a hole cut into the top of the built-ins, leading to a base cabinet housing our DVD player, Xbox, and laptop for streaming.
Installing LED Lights for Television: A Step-by-Step Guide
The highlight of our setup is the addition of LED lights for television. These lights add a dramatic backdrop to the screen, enhancing the ambiance whether we’re watching movies or entertaining guests.
We used an LED light kit like this, which includes light strips, a remote control, and a power connector. Installation was simple, using command strips to adhere the strips to the back of the TV. The strips can be cut to size to perfectly fit the perimeter of the screen.
The kit includes a small sensor box that discreetly protrudes from the bottom of the TV, allowing the remote to control the lights’ color and settings.
Exploring the Spectrum of Color with LED Lights for Television
The LED lights offer a wide array of color options, from bright white to a spectrum of vibrant hues. We enjoy customizing the colors to match the mood or even the content we’re watching.
There’s even a setting that cycles through the colors, creating a dynamic and engaging atmosphere for parties.
Initially, we thought the novelty might wear off, but the LED lights for television have become an integral part of our viewing experience, adding a touch of ambiance and personalization to our family room.
