Centralized Control for Television One: Managing Multiple LG Smart TVs

by

We have twelve new LG smart TVs installed throughout our office building, all connected to our network via CAT6 cabling and Wi-Fi. The goal is to centrally manage content displayed on each Television One unit from a Windows 10 Professional desktop. Content will range from static image slideshows and PowerPoint presentations to video clips and mixed media displays. Some TVs will showcase identical content, while others require unique programming.

Initially, we considered deploying individual mini-PCs connected to each screen, enabling remote access and control. However, this approach presents a significant financial investment (around $2,400) and logistical challenges in managing content across twelve separate devices. We’re seeking a more streamlined and cost-effective solution for Television One management.

Ideally, we need a centralized software solution that allows us to easily designate specific content to each individual Television One display – a single control panel to orchestrate all twelve screens. This eliminates the need to remotely access each TV individually for content updates.

We are open to exploring various options, including software applications, network-based solutions, or even hardware alternatives that offer a more efficient and user-friendly approach to centrally managing our Television One network. The primary objective is to simplify content distribution and minimize administrative overhead.
