Rosewood Television, led by Laurie Zaks, and ITV Studios America are partnering to adapt three of Roselle Lim’s novels into television series. This is Zaks’ first major project under her ITV Studios America deal.

The novels being adapted are “Natalie Tan’s Book of Luck and Fortune,” “Vanessa Yu’s Magical Paris Tea Shop,” and “Sophie Go’s Lonely Hearts Club.” Each novel explores Chinese-American experiences, focusing on romance, family, self-discovery, and magical realism. Lim’s writing blends cultural richness with heartwarming stories, perfect for television.

Roselle Lim will executive produce alongside Laurie Zaks, ensuring authentic portrayals of her characters and stories. Lim’s involvement will keep the adaptations faithful to her original works.

ITV Studios America, known for quality television production, will leverage its expertise to bring Lim’s novels to life. Their upcoming projects include the Apple series “Franklin,” starring Michael Douglas.

Lucienne Papon, EVP Creative Affairs at ITV Studios America, praised the books’ charm, humor, and emotional depth, making them ideal for a Rosewood Television Show with broad appeal.

Lim expressed excitement about collaborating with Zaks and ITV Studios America, eager to see her characters on screen. This partnership expands the reach of her stories to a wider television audience.

Rosewood Television’s previous projects include “The Fix,” “The Family,” “Wicked City,” and “Hit & Run.” Zaks’ experience in developing successful series, combined with Lim’s unique voice, promises exciting adaptations.
