by

CES 2025 saw a shift in television announcements, with software upgrades, particularly in artificial intelligence, taking center stage. While brands continued to compete in screen size, detailed specifications were less prevalent than in previous years.

LG led the pack, confirming a broader range of 2025 televisions, maintaining its established OLED and LCD TV patterns. Their upcoming OLED and QNED LCD TV series promise advancements in picture quality and smart features.

Panasonic, building on its successful 2024 US market re-entry, unveiled its flagship OLED TV series, the Z95B, boasting enhanced brightness and redesigned audio. They also introduced the W95B, a flagship mini-LED TV series, and the budget-friendly W70B LED TV series for the US market, focusing on smaller screen sizes.

Samsung showcased new mini-LED 8K TVs (QN990F and QN900F) and several 4K TV series (QN90F, QN80F, and QN70F), emphasizing advancements in mini-LED technology for improved contrast and brightness. Their QD-OLED and traditional OLED models continue to offer premium viewing experiences.

Samsung also continues its lineup of QD-OLED and traditional OLED televisions, catering to a wide range of consumer preferences and budgets. These models are expected to feature enhanced color accuracy and deeper blacks.

Hisense made a splash with two impressive displays: the 136MX, a 136-inch micro-LED TV, and the 116UX, a 116-inch TriChroma mini-LED TV. The 136MX marks Hisense’s first commercially available micro-LED TV, signaling a potential shift in the high-end television market. The 116UX, utilizing TriChroma technology, aims to deliver exceptional color performance. While pricing and availability remain undisclosed, these TVs are positioned as premium offerings.

TCL focused on two TV series: the QM7K and QM6K. These models are anticipated to incorporate the latest advancements in LCD/LED technology, providing viewers with enhanced picture quality and smart features at competitive price points. TCL continues to focus on providing value-driven options in the television market.
