What Grammy Awards Are Televised
The 66th Annual Grammy Awards, also known as the 2024 GRAMMYs, will air live on Sunday, February 4th, from 8-11:30 p.m. ET / 5-8:30 p.m. PT. The ceremony will be broadcast on the CBS Television Network and available for live streaming on Paramount+. Paramount+ subscribers with the SHOWTIME bundle can access the live feed of their local CBS affiliate, as well as on-demand viewing in the United States. Paramount+ Essential subscribers will have on-demand access the day after the broadcast in the U.S. only.
The main Grammy Awards ceremony, broadcast on CBS and Paramount+, focuses primarily on the major award categories, such as Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best New Artist. Performances by prominent musicians and artists are a significant part of the televised broadcast.
In addition to the main telecast, the Grammy Awards Premiere Ceremony is streamed live online. This ceremony, held prior to the main broadcast, presents awards in a majority of the Grammy categories. While not televised in the traditional sense, the Premiere Ceremony is available for viewing on live.GRAMMY.com and the Recording Academy’s official YouTube channel.
The Premiere Ceremony provides a comprehensive view of the Grammy Awards, recognizing achievements across a wide range of musical genres. While not televised on major networks, its availability online makes it accessible to a global audience. This year’s Premiere Ceremony will be streamed live on Sunday, February 4th, at 12:30 p.m. PT / 3:30 p.m. ET.
This comprehensive online platform offers viewers a multi-screen livestream experience, allowing them to control their viewing and access highlights from the GRAMMYs before, during, and after the telecast. Live.GRAMMY.com offers a backstage pass to Music’s Biggest Night, featuring performances, acceptance speeches, red carpet coverage, behind-the-scenes moments, and the full Premiere Ceremony livestream. The platform is updated in real time, providing exclusive content and a 360-degree view of the GRAMMY Awards.
The televised portion of the Grammy Awards showcases the most prestigious awards and captivating performances, while the online streaming of the Premiere Ceremony ensures that recognition is given across all categories and genres. Together, these broadcasts provide a complete picture of the year’s musical achievements. This year, live.GRAMMY.com will also feature a special livestream experience for the GRAMMY nominations announcement.
Three new Grammy Award categories are being introduced this year: Best African Music Performance, Best Alternative Jazz Album, and Best Pop Dance Recording. These additions reflect the evolving landscape of music and demonstrate the Recording Academy’s commitment to recognizing a broader range of artistic expression. These new categories will result in the first-ever recipients of these awards during the 2024 ceremony.
