Catholic Television Networks: CatholicTV Detroit
CatholicTV Detroit, formerly the Catholic Television Network of Detroit (CTND), is a Catholic television network reaching 900,000 homes across southeast Michigan. Since July 22, 2020, CTND transitioned to CatholicTV, a Boston-based Catholic television network, expanding its reach and programming.
CatholicTV boasts a wide distribution, available in over 13 million homes throughout New England, Michigan, Hawaii, Louisiana, Tennessee, the Virgin Islands, and Vermont. Expanding beyond traditional television, CatholicTV programming is also accessible online at www.catholictv.org and through dedicated apps on iOS, Android, and Roku devices, ensuring viewers can connect anytime, anywhere.
This enhanced partnership with CatholicTV ensures continued Catholic programming on three local cable systems in southeast Michigan: Comcast/Xfinity (channel 398), Spectrum (channel 16), and Wyandotte Cable (channel 73). This seamless transition maintains existing viewing habits, changing only the channel name for viewers.
Importantly, CatholicTV Detroit remains committed to broadcasting local content produced by the Archdiocese of Detroit, preserving local programming alongside nationally broadcasted content.
CatholicTV aims to spread the message of Jesus Christ through engaging and informative programming. Using modern technology, the network strives to connect with people of faith and offer educational content rooted in the Catholic tradition. Their programming seeks to inspire prayerfulness and guide viewers toward a more fulfilling life, regardless of age, culture, or background.
