This free service includes cable TV, on-demand movies, interactive games, internet access, and patient education resources, all accessible from your hospital bed.

Using the One View remote, navigate channels, movies, and games with ease. Request a wireless keyboard from your nurse for internet access. A channel directory and user guide are available on your nightstand.

Free Wi-Fi is also available for patients and guests. Connect to the “UH Guest” network to stay connected and access online resources. Enable Wi-Fi on your device, select “UH Guest,” and open your browser to UHhospitals.org. If the welcome page doesn’t load, manually configure the network name as “UH_Guest” in your device’s settings.

Make free local calls from your room phone. Dial 9 + the number for local calls. For long-distance, dial 9 then 0 for operator assistance with collect calls, billing to your home phone, or using credit/prepaid cards. Dial the five-digit extension directly for internal hospital calls. Cell phone use is generally permitted, but observe signage for restricted areas.
